Overview
Pristine wilderness & magnificent wildlife
A journey through the pristine nature and wilderness of southern Tanzania. You’ll go on safari in a 4×4 vehicle in the wildlife-rich national parks of Ruaha, Mikumi, and Selous. You’re sure to encounter big cats, antelopes, and even rare animals like the African wild dog!
Safari lodges with heart
You’ll stay in comfortable and cozy safari lodges in African style, in prime locations: in the heart of the Udzungwa mountain rainforest, right next to Ruaha National Park and in the middle of Mikumi National Park; on an island in the Rufiji River; and finally, on the white sandy beach of the Indian Ocean.
Off-the-beaten-path travel in an extra small group
Our South Tanzania tour to Ruaha takes you through an area largely untouched by traditional safari tourism. In authentic South Tanzania, you’ll encounter warm and welcoming people, experience diverse landscapes, and discover a rich array of wildlife. A short flight saves on travel time and brings you comfortably back to the Indian Ocean.

Best time to travel to Tanzania
Tanzania has a tropical climate. It is warm year-round. In the highlands, daytime temperatures range from 21-26°C, dropping significantly at night. In the lowlands, along the coast, and in Zanzibar, temperatures remain around 30°C throughout the year. The main rainy season is from mid-March to May. We recommend January to February and July to October as the best time to travel.
